Paid Search Specialist
Profit Path SEO is a family-owned digital marketing agency focused on strategic, measurable growth for service-based businesses. We’re hiring a Paid Search Specialist who will start part-time and grow into a full-time role as client load and responsibilities expand.

Role Summary
You’ll own day-to-day paid search execution across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (Bing): campaign builds, optimization, conversion tracking checks, and reporting.
You’ll also help ensure our paid search work matches what clients expect from exceptional service:
- Clear goals and clean account structure
- Consistent optimization tied to outcomes
- Transparent reporting that explains what happened and what we’re doing next
- Proactive communication, including joining meetings when needed
Reporting Expectations:
- Monthly reporting that connects spend to outcomes
- Clear notes on what changed, why it changed, and what we’re doing next
- No fluff, no jargon, and no hiding behind vanity metrics
What success looks like (client-facing outcomes)
Your work should consistently move the needle on business results and be easy for clients to understand.
Primary performance metrics we care about (varies by client and offer):
- Qualified leads (calls, forms, booked appointments)
- Cost per lead (CPL) and/or cost per acquisition (CPA)
- Conversion rate (CVR)
- Click-through rate (CTR) and impression share (where relevant)
- Search term quality and lead quality feedback
- Return on ad spend (ROAS) when e-commerce tracking is in place
Responsibilities
Campaign build + structure
- Build and launch Google Ads campaigns (Search-first)
- Build and launch Microsoft Advertising (Bing) campaigns
- Set up clean account structure and naming conventions for multi-client management
- Create ad copy and assets aligned to each client’s offer and positioning
Ongoing optimization
- Weekly search term reviews and negative keyword strategy
- Match type management and query control
- Ad copy testing with clear hypotheses and iteration
- Budget pacing and bid strategy adjustments
- Quality Score drivers: relevance, expected CTR, landing page experience (with feedback to the team)
Tracking + measurement (must be comfortable here)
- Validate conversion tracking and attribution basics:
- Google Ads conversion actions
- GA4 performance review and conversion alignment
- UTM consistency and campaign tagging
- Flag tracking issues early and coordinate fixes with the team
Reporting + communication
- Produce monthly performance summaries that include:
- Results vs. goals
- Key wins and key issues
- What was tested
- Next month priorities
- Participate in internal team meetings to align on strategy and priorities
- Join client meetings as needed to explain performance, answer questions, and support next-step planning
Requirements (must-have)
- Proven experience managing Google Ads Search campaigns end-to-end
- Experience with Microsoft Advertising (Bing) or a strong willingness to ramp quickly
- Comfortable reviewing performance in GA4 and validating conversion tracking basics
- Strong organization and attention to detail across multiple accounts
- Clear communication and a team-first working style
- Comfortable being on calls when needed (client-side and internal)
Nice-to-have
- Google Tag Manager experience
- Looker Studio reporting
- Local service business lead gen experience
- Experience improving lead quality (not just lowering CPL)
Hours + growth path
- Start part-time (~10–20 hours/week depending on client load)
- Clear path to full-time as results and workload grow
- Remote role with scheduled meeting participation

This is a team role inside our agency. You’ll collaborate with our internal team to implement paid search strategy across multiple client accounts, participate in team meetings, and join client-facing meetings as needed to support performance, reporting, and next-step planning.
As part of our team, you’ll support our advertising services across multiple client accounts, helping drive measurable growth through well-structured and optimized paid search campaigns.
